  • RSL (Rockschool) Certified Level 4 Teaching Diploma
  • Specialties: Stress-Free Technical Coaching in all styles of Rock, Pop, Blues and Metal.

I have been plugging into an amplifier for over 40 years, and I still love the rush of hearing an electric guitar just as much as the day I started. Over the last 10 years, I have dedicated myself to helping players of all ages unlock the secrets of guitar.
My teaching style is patient, approachable and relaxed. I don’t believe in high-pressure environments or boring rigid drills. Instead, I focus on the music you love, breaking down complex techniques into simple, stress-free steps.
Backed by a formal teaching degree from RSL Rockschool, I combine structured, proven methods with a friendly atmosphere where adults can unwind after work and kids can truly enjoy the learning process.
Born and raised in New York now living in Athens, Greece. I am fluent in both English and Greek.

Parents of Beginners – Why Choose my Program?

How do I get Students to be excited to learn Electric Guitar?

Elementary School Kids * 8 years and up *

(Patience & Screen-Time Reduction)
  • From screens to center stage!
  • Guitar can build your child’s focus. A child who usually can’t sit still for five minutes, after a few months of lessons can sit proudly with their instrument, focused, and eager to show you the new song they mastered.
  • Improving fine motor skills and cognitive brain development.
  • Replacing passive screen time with active and creative fulfillment.

Middle & High School Teens

(Stress Relief & Identity)

Teenagers face immense academic and social pressure. Help keep your teenager grounded, happy and connected.

  • Give them a healthy escape from school stress and a voice of their own.
Building self-esteem during awkward teenage years.
  • Electric guitar can become a teenager’s emotional outlet. Instead of slamming the bedroom door after a stressful day at school, they pick up the guitar to unwind and process their emotions.
  • Social connection and teamwork by playing music with peers. Music helps kids develop a sense of independence and to feel comfortable with self-expression.

Intermediate Students: Why Choose Me?

YouTube Tutorials won’t build Your Technique, Skills or Abilities.

Without proper guidance you risk building bad habits, getting stuck in a loop of sloppy and misguided tutorials. That path limits your progress and wastes your time. Electric Guitar demands proper guidance. I adapt my teaching style for all ages, making sure kids stay inspired and adults get fast, tangible results around their busy schedules.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ): Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers.

Do I need to know how to read music?
No! All lessons use easy-to-read guitar TAB and chord diagrams. You will be taught everything you need to know from scratch.
Do I need my own electric guitar and amplifier to start?
For your first intro lesson at my Kifissia studio, you can use my gear! For ongoing lessons and home practice, you will need your own guitar and amplifier. I can gladly help you choose the perfect budget-friendly starter pack (Electric guitar, practice amp, cable and a few standard guitar picks).
What equipment do I need for online lessons?
All you need is a laptop or tablet with a webcam, a stable internet connection, and your guitar. I will guide you through the simple steps to get your amp sound feeding clearly through the video call.
Is my child too young to learn electric guitar?
I generally recommend starting around age 8 or 9, as electric guitars require a bit of hand strength. However, every child is different! Book an intro session, and we can assess if they are ready.
Am I too old to learn?
Never! I have students of all ages—from teenagers to retirees—who successfully learn to play.
How much time do I need to practice each week?
You do not need hours of free time. For both adults and kids, just 15 to 20 minutes of focused practice a day, 4 to 5 times a week, will yield massive results.

What Students & Parents Say: Real Results. Real Reviews.

“Vasilis has an incredible way with children. My 10-year-old son was bored with traditional acoustic lessons, but since starting rock guitar with Vasilis, he practices every single day without being asked!”
— Maria K., Parent
“As an adult hobbyist, I was worried I wouldn’t have time to practice. Vasilis’s relaxed approach made learning stress-free. I’ve improved my downpicking speed more in six months than I did in ten years of trying to learn on my own.”
— Yiannis P., Adult Student
“You can tell Vasilis holds an RSL degree. His lessons are structured perfectly, but the atmosphere is always light and fun. His online setup is crystal clear, making virtual lessons just as effective as in-person ones.”
— Eleni M., Online Student
